How to Apply
The procedure of application to the MBBS program at NGMC is based on merit.
Registration
A candidate admitted to the course in the University Medical College or any of the affiliated Medical Colleges shall register with the university by remitting the prescribed fee along with the application form for registration duly filled in and forwarded to the University through the Dean of the School of Medical Sciences or the Principal of the affiliated college within the stipulated date.
Admission procedure for Nepalese Citizen
Medical Education Commission now conducts Medical Education Common Entrance Examination (MECEE) for the selection of students to study MBBS in any medical education institution within Nepal. Students will be admitted on the basis of Merit after central counseling at Kathmandu University School of Medical Science (KUSMS) Dhulikhel, Kavre Nepal.
Admission procedure for Foreign Citizen
Foreign citizens seeking admission in the MBBS program must apply with scanned copies of the mark sheet of 12th grade and Citizenship/Passport. Those candidates must appear in the Medical Education Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Medical Education Commission.
Medical Education Commission may allow admission of Indians if they have passed an entrance test of MBBS or BDS in their country directly without taking combined entrance. However, usually the foreign candidates have to take the common entrance test for admission in the medical college in Nepal. August is the usual month of admission, but due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic the time of the admission may change.
