Efforts are underway to get more international recognition, including recognition from the Medical Council of India (MCI), Medical Council of Malaysia, and medical councils of other SAARC countries. On average, 90% of our graduates pass the MCI screening test on the first attempt. This reflects the quality & standard of education provided by this college.

Nepalgunj Medical College (NGMC) offers MBBS, BSc Nursing and Medical Postgraduate programs in affiliation to Kathmandu University, a national university. Kathmandu University is an independent non-profit and non-governmental educational Institution. The executive Council of Kathmandu University granted permanent affiliation to NGMC in April, 2004.

Nepalgunj Medical College (NGMC) offers Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) Nursing Program (also known as Staff Nurse Program) in affiliation to Centre for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).
Nepal Medical Council

Nepalgunj Medical College is recognized by the Nepal Medical Council and the Government of Nepal. Most Nepalese graduates of NGMC who appear in the licensing exam of Nepal Medical Council have qualified and received approval to practice in Nepal.
Sri Lanka Medical Council

Nepalgunj Medical College is fully recognized by Sri Lanka Medical Council.

Nepalgunj Medical College is listed in the WHO World Directory of Medical Schools. NGMC graduates are eligible for the qualifying examinations worldwide. Many NGMC graduates have succeeded in the Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB) test of the UK, Education Council for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMFG) of the USA, and screening tests of various countries all over the world. Nepalgunj Medical College is listed in the International Medical Engineering and Design (IMED). NGMC Graduates can appear in the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE). Many graduates have cleared USMLE and are successfully practicing in various states of the US.
